Why we built it

AI crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot do not run JavaScript — they read raw HTML. Most SEO tools were not built for that, and most cannot tell you whether an AI assistant cites a brand at all. We hit that wall as customers before we built the answer.

We were the customer, not the vendor

Preferium began inside an agency running SEO for real clients. For years we ran that work on the market’s autonomous tools as paying customers. Plenty of it we liked. Some of it we could not live with.

A white label that kept showing through

The tool we used offered white label — and its own branding kept surfacing inside the supposedly white-labeled panel. You cannot put a client in front of a product that keeps introducing someone else. So the panel, the domain, the emails and the served HTML carry only your brand.

One delivery path, and a deploy that checks itself

We built what we actually needed: optimizations written into the HTML the client site serves, with no second mode to land on by mistake, and the highest-risk changes re-opened in a real browser after they ship and reverted automatically if the page got worse.

Where the data lives

Client data is stored in the EU. Where a provider must process data outside the EU/EEA, it happens under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914), and we choose an EU location whenever an equivalent alternative exists.

The engine works autonomously, but nothing is permanent. Every change sits in the panel with a timestamp, and you or your client can pull it back or edit it.

What we do not claim

We are not ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified, and we put no badges on the page that suggest otherwise. We are a small company with a responsible person you can write to, documents you can read before you sign, and a trust page that says plainly which controls are in place and which are not.

Preferium AI Edge is built and operated by Preferium AS, a company registered in Norway. We keep client data in the EU, offer a Data Processing Agreement to every partner, and keep each client account isolated at the database level rather than only in the interface.
