Chapter 02 of 04
You decide how far the engine may go.
Three control levels, approval per change, a kill switch and undeploy. Everything logged in the panel, everything reversible.

The controls
Flip the switches once. Run forever.
Autonomous does not mean unbounded. You write the guardrails, the engine stays inside them — every time, on every page.
Autonomous runRecommendedThe whole loop, visible elements included — no approval queue. The engine runs the client site on its own, every day.
Technical findings fixed automaticallyDaily audit; what is safe to fix gets fixed. No to-do list gathering dust.
Visible rewritesHeadings, link text and captions are rewritten. Prefer to look first? Flip the client to Review everything.
Write the guardrails the engine must stay within

The guardrails
Six dials you set once.
Autonomy without limits is not trust, it is luck. These are the dials that decide how far the engine may go — and what it may never touch.
PaceIntensityLight, standard or aggressive. The panel shows immediately how prioritization and pace of coverage change.
ScopeScope controlAddress patterns that decide exactly which pages the engine may and may not touch. “Never touch /campaign/” is one line.
StopAutomatic work limitSet a hard cap on how much the autonomy may do on each site. When the limit is reached, it stops.
LimitsSeparate usage limitsPages, audits, topics, keywords and route points are controlled separately, and every workflow can be switched off entirely.
BulkRules and templates with dry runDeterministic templates for titles, descriptions, robots and canonicals, applied to a pattern — with a dry run before anything happens.
ProofA/B experimentsSplit-test titles, descriptions and headings. The winner is decided statistically on real Google clicks, not opinion.
JudgeRisky fixes are assessed firstRemoving a stray noindex or a conflicting canonical goes through a safety assessment, is flagged for your attention, and can always be undone.
ReuseSaved rule templatesKeep the rules that work, and apply them to the next client site instead of writing them again.
ButtonSome changes are not made for youEnabling the sitemap and the like is offered as a button you press yourself. “Fix all” shows what will change before you confirm.
Overrides
What you write always wins.
An override you write is never overwritten by the automation. And everything can be switched off — from the whole site down to one element on one page.
The switches that turn it offUnder one minute
Kill switchOne click, and the client’s original site is served untouched, everywhere, within a minute.
Visible rewrites are offAnything a visitor can see is off until you deliberately turn it on. Menu, footer and sidebar are never touched.
Control per element typeEvery element type can be switched on, off, published or withdrawn on its own.
Choice per pageFor any page: pick the original, the AI version, or your own text.
Visual editingClick an element in a live preview of the client’s own page and edit it in place.
Undo the last 50The last 50 automatic changes listed in plain language, with one click to undo the reversible ones.
Your text always winsAn override you write is never overwritten by the automation — no matter how many times the engine runs afterward.
The voice it writes inYour words
Six curated brand voicesProfessional, friendly, clear, creative, exclusive, explanatory — as a starting point, not a straitjacket.
Global writing instructionOne free-text instruction applied to everything the AI writes for a client.
Instruction per element typeSeparate guidance for titles, alt text, link text and every other element type.
Forbidden and preferred wordsWords the AI may never use, and words you want it to reach for.
Structured brand factsAudience, industries, locations, distinctions and competitors, fed into every rewrite.
Suggested style guideThe AI proposes a style guide from the client’s own site, which you accept or edit instead of writing from scratch.
Writing rules for answer enginesAn optional extra layer of rules tuned for being cited by AI assistants, laid on top of the brand voice.
Bulk in and out via CSVExport the optimized content, edit in a spreadsheet, import back with job tracking.
Export what is publishedA machine-readable overview of exactly what is live right now.
Client data can be taken outExport deployed changes, tracked keywords, findings and affected pages. Preferium’s source code and runnable engine are not included.
Verify and roll back
The self-checks and the limits.
What is actually rareEvery single part exists elsewhere. What we have not found anywhere else — and we keep looking, most recently in August 2026 — is the whole loop in one place, autonomous at the edge.
Self-repair every 30 minutesThe live page is compared with what it should be, and repaired if something overwrote it. You are told if it could not be restored.
Cloaking guardEvery optimized page is fetched twice — as a person and as GPTBot — and any serious difference is flagged. Machines are never shown something different from people.
Fail-safe that cannot break the siteAn unexpected problem anywhere in the chain, or Preferium’s own systems down, yields the client’s original untouched page. The status page says plainly when something is wrong.
