Connection limits
Some platforms need another path.
Wix and Squarespace cannot use the standard DNS connection. Shopify and similar stores need a native connector.
Compatibility and DNS details
- HTML and DNS access
- The site must serve HTML, and your client needs access to its DNS settings.
- One DNS record
- Each client site points one CNAME at the Preferium edge. The certificate is issued and renewed automatically, and a test request confirms the site answers before it goes live.
- Apex domains
- A bare domain that cannot carry a CNAME is switched to www automatically.
- Compatibility check
- We check the platform and configuration before connection. If the site is not supported, the check explains why.
- Connection limits
- Closed builders such as Wix and Squarespace do not allow the routing the edge needs. Shopify and similar stores require a native connector instead of the standard DNS connection.
The original site is the fallback.
If a rewrite fails, Preferium serves the original page when the client’s server is available. If the origin is unavailable, fallback depends on a usable eligible cache.

Manual DNS restoration
To disconnect completely, restore the original DNS record. This is a separate action.
Errors, redirects, non-HTML, signed-in traffic and POST requests pass through unchanged.
How fallback works
- If optimization fails, the engine falls back to the original page when the origin is available.
- If optimization data cannot be reached, the engine requests the original page from the origin.
- Only successful HTML is rewritten. Errors, redirects and everything that is not HTML pass through unchanged.
- Logged-in and POST traffic — checkout, login, CMS admin — passes straight through.
- If the origin fails, an eligible cached copy can keep public pages available while that copy remains usable.
- If serving starts failing, the engine disables itself.
- A kill switch serves the original site everywhere within about a minute.

- An outage of Cloudflare itself.
- A DNS change at the client's DNS provider.

A client cancels
Billing for that client stops at once, and the site keeps being served for 14 days as an undo window.
A client stops paying you
The site keeps being served for 14 days, and still counts in your wholesale volume, while you sort it out with your client. After that, delivery for that site is paused and its slot is freed; it is not a cancellation.
Frozen Delivery
A client who qualifies can go frozen: the published pages stay live and unchanged, with no new work and no bill, indefinitely and on the conditions the Service Terms set out.
Your agency's own payment fails
Your clients' sites keep being served for a 90-day grace window before delivery is turned off and the subscription cancels.
A clean disconnection
Only when you or the client ask for it: serving stops, the certificate is released and the site data is removed. The original DNS record was saved when the site connected and stays visible in the panel, so whoever edits DNS restores it.

What does my client actually see?
Your brand. Your panel, your dashboard domain, reports and alerts sent from your own address, and the client help centre carry your brand.

Do my clients need to install a plugin?
No. Each client site connects with a single DNS record (a CNAME). Preferium optimizes at the Cloudflare edge, so it works on WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Kinsta or a fully custom stack — no plugin, no CMS access required.
Can clients order without my help?
Yes. At launch, clients can register through your own landing page and signup funnel or accept your invitation. They order your packages and credit top-ups inside your branded panel, paid on your Stripe.
Is client data isolated, and where is it stored?
Each client is its own isolated workspace — clients never see each other. Client workspace data is stored in the EU (Stockholm). Edge delivery runs on Cloudflare's global network, and AI measurement providers are listed in the subprocessor register. A Data Processing Agreement is part of the contract.
Whose client is it?
Yours. Preferium contracts only with your agency and has no contract with your clients.
Preferium may contact a client directly where that is reasonably necessary for domain validation, security, privacy, incident handling, the law or service continuity, and such contact creates no customer relationship.
When your white-label right ends, Preferium offers a client a direct transition only with your consent, where your order allows it, or to avoid unlawful processing or serious risk.
Can Preferium change the wholesale price?
For future periods, with at least 30 days’ notice. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
Are we locked in?
No. The subscription renews each period until you cancel, and you can cancel before the next charge. A period that has started is not refunded. Switching to another provider carries no separate switching fee.
What happens if we leave?
You stop new sales and stop using the Preferium name, and each client workspace follows the exit process: export in a structured format, a transition period, and the client’s DNS pointed back to its own server. Your clients get neutral information about DNS, export and whom to contact.
Who supports our clients?
You do, as the first line for commercial questions and everyday support. Preferium supports your agency, and its support can open a client view read-only, behind a visible banner. No uptime or response time is promised unless a signed order states one.
